Colors and invites and flowers...oh my!
See the photo at the top? The one of the orange and yellow flowers? Yeah, it took me forever to decide what colors, what flowers, what everything I wanted. Luckily, with a two year engagement, I had plenty of time to get everything figured out.
Wal-Mart was recently renovated. They added this amazing aisle full of wedding invitations, favor boxes, fake flower petals and much much more. It's my favorite feature. Although the items for sale in that particular aisle don't change much, I visit that area of the store every time I'm there (which is a lot, let me tell you). I also frequent craft stores such as Micheal's and A.C. Moore, looking at everything from Mason jars to card stock.
I knew some things I wanted even before Chris put that ring on my finger. I knew my wedding had to be outside and it had to be in the fall.So for the past year, I've been trying to decide what colors (chocolate brown, tan and orange), what kind of flowers (gerba daisies and roses, maybe some mums) and everything else I want. I've made sketches galore and walked aimlessly around craft stores looking at various things trying to figure out how in the world I will incorporate them into my overall look.
Now that we have the date set, all of these things can finally become reality. All I have to do now is save some money and buy this stuff over the next 16 months and then I'll have a beautiful wedding!
